Port Alice is a quaint, picturesque community on northern Vancouver Island. It is tucked in along the banks of the Neroutsos Inlet, surrounded by vast forests and lofty mountains. This seaside village is aptly referred to as, “The Gateway to the Wild West Coast”.
The Frigon Islands, located in Neroutsos Inlet, were named after “Old Ned” Frigon, a Quebec pioneer who had ventured to the West Coast during the California Gold Rush. In 1895, he arrived in the Quatsino area and established a trading post, hotel and wharf on what is now known as Drake Island.
