The story of this boardwalk community began in 1912 with the construction

of a shack, built to accommodate the lineman of the new telegraph line.

In the following years, Telegraph Cove operated a fish saltery and a small sawmill.

Today it has become a popular tourist destination that draws thousands of visitors from around the world.

They are captivated by the beautiful Canadian west coast and are equally excited to participate in the many adventure opportunities the area offers which include whale watching, grizzly bear viewing, kayaking, and hiking.

Be sure to stop in and visit the Telegraph Cove Whale Interpretive Center which has one of the best collection of marine mammal skeletons in British Columbia.
