"BEYOND THE FRAME; Journey Into Nature"

Port McNeill,

Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia

Northern Vancouver Island is a place of stunning natural beauty, where rugged mountains meet the Pacific Ocean. The north island offers a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, kayaking, whale watching, and fishing. The island is also home to a variety of wildlife, including bears, wolves, elk. eagles, and orcas. The culture is rich and diverse, with influences from the First Nations, European settlers, and Asian immigrants. It is a perfect destination for anyone who loves nature, adventure, and history.

Mt. Stephens is a familiar site on the northern end of Vancouver Island.  It is located across Queen Charlotte Strait, and is on the central coast of British Columbia. It is part of the Coast Mountains, a range that stretches from Alaska to Vancouver. Mt. Stephens has an elevation of 2,769 metres and is the highest peak in the Kitimat Ranges. The mountain was named after George Stephens, a British explorer who visited the area in 1793.

The painting invites the viewer to imagine themselves in this scene, either as an observer or a participant, and to feel the wonder and joy of nature.
